How You Could Design Your Experience
Here's an example of how the missions can be designed - customize your experience to fit your location and theme.
City Treasure Hunt
In a treasure hunt, participants navigate to each stop and enter a secret code to prove they found the location. Codes can be hidden in street art, signs, architectural details, or other city elements. A treasure hunt that rewards attention to detail and creative thinking.
Stop 1 — The Busy Intersection
Start at a well-known spot in the city center — a crossroads or corner that everyone recognizes. It helps participants find their bearings quickly.
Title: The Starting Point
Description: Stand at the intersection and look toward the red brick building. Above the door, there are four numbers carved into the stone. Those numbers are your first secret code.
Secret code: 1923
Stop 2 — The Back Alley
Leave the main street for a quieter side street that usually doesn't get much foot traffic or attention.
Title: The Hidden Alley
Description: Turn into the alley next to the café. On the left wall, there's a small blue sign. What does it say? Enter the text exactly.
Secret code: Leven's Lane
Stop 3 — The Public Art
Artworks in public spaces make perfect stops. They're easy to find, interesting to study, and often have details that can become clues.
Title: The Mural
Description: Find the large mural on the gable wall. How many birds are painted in the image? Count carefully — that's your code.
Secret code: 12
Stop 4 — The Historic Doorway
Buildings with character give the treasure hunt a historical dimension. Clues can be tied to the architecture.
Title: The Old Gate
Description: Find the large gate with iron fittings. Look at the small brass plaque to the right of the door. What initials are engraved on it?
Secret code: C.A.L.
Stop 5 — The Square
A square offers plenty of opportunities for hidden clues.
Title: The Square's Secret
Description: Walk to the fountain in the center of the square. On the base, there's an inscription carved into the stone. How many words does the inscription have? That's your code.
Secret code: 9
Stop 6 — The Viewpoint
End the trail at an elevated spot with a view. Hide a small container with a note inside that contains the secret code.
Title: The City's Rooftop
Description: Take the stairs up to the viewpoint. Somewhere by the railing there's a small hidden container. Find it and read the note inside — the code on the note is your final secret code.
Secret code: COPPER
