Quick Start Guide for Creators

GeoQuestr — Quick Start Guide for Creators

Welcome to GeoQuestr! Here's a short checklist to help you start creating engaging outdoor experiences.


1. Set Up Your Account

  • Sign up with your email, Google, or Apple login.
  • Complete your profile.
  • You can create your first experience for free — it supports up to 3 participants and stays active for 30 days.
  • To unlock more participants and unlimited duration, upgrade to the Starter plan ($49/month) or the Department plan ($850/month) for larger teams and events.

2. Build Your First Experience

  • Tap Create Experience to get started.
  • You will be prompted to activate Geolocation.
  • You'll see a map centered on your current position.
  • Choose a quest type to place on the map: Quiz, Info, Treasure, Photo, or Challenge.
  • Click the map to place the quest (quests must be at least 30 meters apart).
  • Fill in the details — title, description, question, and answer — or use the AI assistant (Owlie) to generate content for you.
  • Add several quests to make the experience more engaging.
  • Publish your experience when you are satisfied with the quality.

3. Invite Participants

Once your experience is published, you have several ways to invite participants:

  • QR Code Flyer — Download a ready-made flyer with your experience name, QR code, and join code. Print it and place it at trailheads, reception desks, or event venues.
  • Join Code — Every experience gets a unique 4-character join code. Participants enter it at geoquestr.com/join to jump straight in.
  • Direct Link — Copy and share a direct link via email, group chats, or social media.

4. Review Reports & Statistics

After your event, you can review detailed results and generate reports:

  • Event Report — Automatically generated with leaderboards, quest analytics, team standings, and participant ratings.
  • AI Summary — Let AI analyze your event data and create a professional narrative with highlights and insights.
  • Export to PDF — Download a print-ready report to share with stakeholders or keep for your records.
