GeoQuestr — Quick Start Guide for Explorers

Welcome to GeoQuestr! As an Explorer, you can discover, play, and even create activities. Here’s a simple walkthrough to get you started.


1. Set Up Your Account

  • Sign up with your email or social login.
  • Subscribe to the Explorer plan for unlimited exploration.
  • Complete your profile so friends can recognize you.

2. Discover New Adventures

  • Use the Find activity tab to browse nearby activities.
  • Enable Geolocation to see activities around you.
  • Use the filters to find what you're looking for.
  • Join an activity of your choice. It must be within your vicinity (GPS-based).
  • Start walking towards the 3D markers on the map to find challenges and questions.
  • Complete the activity by answering questions and completing challenges.
  • Complete all activities to complete the map.
  • View your current score and ranking on the leaderboard.
  • View statistics about your completed activities in your profile.

3. Play Safely

✅ Pay attention to your surroundings
✅ Respect property and local rules
✅ Play during safe hours

❌ Don’t trespass or enter unsafe areas


4. Rate & Give Feedback

  • After completing an activity, leave a rating and comments.
  • Your feedback helps creators improve and influences which content may become Official.

5. Create Up to 5 Activities

  • As an Explorer, you can also publish up to 1 activity.
  • Check out the quick start guide for creators for tips on making great activities.

6. Official activities

  • Look out for the Official badge — these are high-quality, safe activities selected by GeoQuestr.
  • Official activities are activities that are qualified for the GeoQuestr Royalty Program, you’re part of the discovery and feedback loop that decides which activities should be Official.

7. Share the Fun

  • Invite friends to join you on adventures.
  • Post screenshots or stories about your experiences.
